About Kristin Fyans...

A freelance creative thinker/designer, I also serve as a Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist for central Illinois' top health care provider, Springfield Clinic.

I joined Springfield Clinic in 2008 and have been a valuable member of the marketing & communication team as the market research and database analyst.  I have a keen sense of detail and keep complex projects in line and on time.  I coordinate major initiatives including production of Springfield Clinic’s Doc Is In public lecture series, publication of the Annual Directory, media placements, signage & way finding, and mass mailing management. In addition to my market intelligence side of my role at Springfield Clinic, I also am responsible for web analytics and market research analyzing web trends and statistics for the clinic’s website, including iPhone app, social media and e-mail marketing.  My role allows me to work cooperatively with internal and external clients to analyze needs, design and implement solutions, communicating progress and documenting results by data analysis. 

Before joining Springfield Clinic, I worked for Kohl’s Department Store Corporation in Wisconsin.  I was responsible for all aspects of their gift card marketing program – from demographic analysis to kiosk designs to gift card fulfillment and analyzing consumer and emerging trends in the gift card industry, managing sales projections and event analysis.  Prior to Kohl’s, I provided marketing and communications services to Ace Hardware’s network of franchises at the corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, IL.

I am a graduate of Millikin University and hold a BS in Marketing. I have held several offices with the Association for Women in Communications - Springfield IL chapter and serve on the Board of Directors.  I am currently the Co-VP Communications chair designing all print, email and manage all social media marketing efforts. I was selected as one of the 32 class candidates for Leadership Springfield for 2014-2015.  I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Elizabeth Ann Seton Program here in Springfield IL and volunteer on the Fight for Air Climb Committee to serve as a valued member of the planning committee for recruitment & promotions, revenue generation-sponsorships, and much more.  In 2013, I was recognized and selected as one of the Forty under 40 in Springfield, IL by the Springfield Business Journal.  I am happy to be a mother of two lovable and adorable little boys!  I am very active in their education at St Agnes School in Springfield and participate in committees (Parents Club Co-Chair Social Committee, room mother, etc) to help their school continue to advance.  They keep me busy enjoying life!
